China Dongxiang struggled with the Kappa brand, for which it holds the rights in China, during the third quarter ended Dec. 31. The company indicated that retail revenues at Kappa and Kappa Kids stores in China declined by the mid-teens during the period, and that they were off by a similar rate for the first nine months of its financial year. On a same-store basis, sales fell by mid-to-high teens in the quarter and by mid-to-low teens for the nine months. The overall store count increased by 44 units to a total of 1,419 locations during the nine-month period.
