Italian sportswear brand Macron posted revenues of €93 million in the first half of 2024, representing a 19 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023. Growth was 24 percent in its three main European markets – the UK, Italy and Spain. The company generates more than 80 percent of its sales outside of Italy.
During the first half of the year, Macron opened a US office in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The 2,000-sqm facility includes a warehouse with a stocking capacity of around 300,000 items, an office area and two showrooms for its Teamwear and Performance collections. Also in the first half, the company introduced Macron Clubhouse, a new high-end collection that is meant to embody the notion of “beyond performance,” i.e., garments with a functional design made of high quality, high-performance materials that, starting from the world of sport, can be worn in everyday life. The new product line was presented at Pitti Uomo 2024 in June.
Macron saw its sales increase by 15.7 percent to €196.6 million in 2023. All three of its main lines of business recorded double-digit growth: teamwear (+21 percent), Individual lines (+23 percent) and Pro Clubs (+11 percent). The company, which has a workforce of over 300 people, has a retail network of around 170 Macron Sports Hubs in different countries and its products are also sold in more than 850 multibrand stores. Macron currently sponsors more than 90 professional clubs in a wide range of sports.
