Italian teamwear brand Macron has announced sales of €169.9 million for the year ended Dec. 31, 2022, representing a 36.5 percent increase on the previous year at the core business level (net of personal protective equipment project) and “a growth never achieved before,” the company said. Compared to pre-Covid levels in 2019, the sales increase is 50.6 percent.
Macron confirmed its strong international reach, as about 80 percent of its turnover was generated abroad. The company also reaffirmed that its distribution strategy remains based on expanding its mono-brand network, which now consists of over 165 Macron Sports Hubs in more than 20 countries, as well as on increasing selective partnerships with multi-brand stores.
Macron is the technical sponsor of more than 90 professional clubs around the world in a variety of sports. For the fifth consecutive year, the brand has emerged as one of the top four football brands in UEFA’s ranking. Macron will be the sponsor of seven national teams at the upcoming Rugby World Cup 2023, which will be held in France later this year. It is also the official supplier of the World Rugby and Rugby World Cup.
