Spanish generalist sports retailer Forum Sport generated revenues of €123.6 million for the full year ended on Jan. 31, as CEO Diego Llorente tells CMDsport

This is an improvement of about 2.1 percent from the previous year’s €121.0 million. (All figures exclude VAT.) Ebitda improved to 18 percent, the ordinary result to 75 percent.

Llorente credits better inventory management, fewer liquidations and expanded margins for the company’s performance.

For the present year Llorente expects to see further revenue growth of 3 percent, to more than €127 million. This would be a company record. Forum Sport’s best year by this measure was 2018/19, when it generated revenues of €125.8 million. While the last few years’ “high uncertainty” will persist, Llorente says, consumers seem to have more money in their pocket than last year and have been “internalizing” the beneficent effects of sport on “their well-being and health.” Also, “great changes are not expected” among Forum Sport’s “chief domestic competitors.”
