Fashion Network reports that Aybl, a DTC brand of women’s gymwear based in Redditch, U.K., has seen remarkable growth in sales. So far over its three-year history the brand has raked in revenues of £10.3 million (€12.0m-$14.6m) through its international web store. It hopes to reach £50 million (€58m-$71m) by its fifth year. The company began as a garage business run by two brothers, Reiss and Kristian Edgerton, and already in its first year it earned a profit of £36,000 (€42,000-$51,000) on £140,000 (€163,000-$198,000) in sales. Year two saw £360,000 (€419,000-$510,000) in profits on £1.5 million (€1.7m-$2.1m) in revenues. Profits for year three, during the pandemic, reached £2.4 million (€2.8m-$3.4m). The company now employs 30 and ships internationally, particularly to the U.S., Canada, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, France and Scandinavia. Over the past 12 months it has moved some 400,000 items. Is it going to replicate the success of Gymshark?
