Spanish retailer Megasport achieved record sales of €21.5 million in its fiscal year ended April 30, CMD Sport has reported, surpassing the €20 million mark for the first time in its history. Sales were up 17 percent compared to the 2021/22 fiscal year.
Megasport was founded in 1990 by David Vinyeta, who still is at the helm. The company, which currently distributes 17 brands, said Rossignol was the main driver of its sales during the 2022/23 fiscal year, followed by Black Diamond and Haglöfs. These three brands alone accounted for 50 percent of the retailer’s total sales during the last fiscal year, according to the report. Megasport currently operates nine stores in Spain.
