According to Diffusion Sport, Sprinter generated €585.8 million in sales for its full year 2023, which extended from February 2023 to January 2024. This figure represents a rise of 13 percent year-on-year and 100 percent from the pre-lockdown year of 2019.
Net profits amounted to €37.9 million, up about 11 percent year-on-year and, like sales, 100 percent from 2019.
The retail chain ended the year with 32 new stores, raising its total in Spain to 218. This has occurred despite the management of JD Sports, which acquired Sprinter’s owner, Iberian Sports Retail Group (ISRG), in 2023 and the next year set in motion a plan to switch about 30 store banners from Sprinter or Sport Zone to JD.
