Under Armour will be moved from the S&P 500 Index to the S&P Midcap 400 Index, effective June 21, according to a statement from S&P Dow Jones, after the company struggled with disappointing quarterly results in recent weeks. The U.S. sportswear brand had been included in the S&P 500 since 2014. The minimum capitalization of the new index to include Under Armour is $3.6 billion. When it was included in the S&P 500 Index, the company had a market capitalization of $9.45 billion. Today, its market capitalization is just over half of that, at $4.86 billion (€4.53bn).
