Decathlon is opening its first-ever Decathlon City in Canada. It will be located in Toronto’s Union Station at 65 Front Street W. The opening is scheduled for August, based on the company’s website, although a specific date is yet to be communicated. Decathlon City at Union Station will give customers access to almost all of Decathlon’s online catalog, the company said, including via same-day click & collect. The French sporting goods retailer is currently present in more than 60 countries around the world and nearly 1,750 stores and has a total workforce of 105,000 people. Decathlon posted a turnover of €13.8 billion (excl. taxes) in 2021, representing a growth of 21 percent compared to 2020 at constant exchange rates. Online sales accounted for 21 percent of its revenues.
