Foot Locker had 590 stores in Europe last Feb. 2, at the end of its latest financial year, or 5.2 percent more than a year earlier. Globally, its total door count under various banners went up by just 1 percent to 3,335 units. It had 42 franchised stores, half of them in the Middle East through Alshaya Trading Co. and the other half in South Korea. The group's total sales grew by 13.5 percent to $4,495 million in the U.S. and by 1.4 percent to $1,687 million in the rest of the world.
