Foot Locker opened its 100th store in France at the end of last year, according to sport-guide.com. It is located in a recently renovated shopping center at Claye Souilly, anchored by Carrefour, that also accommodates one of the ten JD stores in France. Foot Locker had only 83 stores in France at the end of 2011, and the American group has indicated its wish to expand its network all over Europe. One of the company's newest stores in France, opened recently in the big Part Dieu shopping center of Lyon, concentrates on children's products. On the other hand, sport-guide.com reports that a Foot Locker stores in downtown Marseille was plundered by thieves in mid-January. A Décathlon store in a shopping mall north of the French city followed a similar fate a few days ago.1
