Foot Locker is set to open its first brick-and-mortar store in Thailand in September. The exact opening date has yet to be announced. The store will be located inside the Siam Center shopping mall in Bangkok.
Thailand will be Foot Locker’s fifth market in the Southeast Asian region, adding to its stores in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore. As of January 2023, Foot Locker had more than 2,700 stores in operation around the world in 29 markets.
The New York-based specialty athletic retailer reported a decrease of 11.4 percent in total sales for the first quarter ended April 29, 2023 compared with the first quarter of 2022. Comparable-store sales decreased by 9.1 percent.
