Foreign currency losses of 1,118 million yen (€9.8m-€11.1m) and higher investments forced Globeride to post a comprehensive net loss of ¥370 million (€3.0-$3.4m) for the first quarter ended June 30 against a profit of ¥582 million in the previous year. New product development and sales promotions allowed the company to raise its sales by 5 percent to ¥21.2 billion (€173.1m-$195.8m).
