Sven Voth, the founder of sneaker specialist Snipes SE, is handing over his position as CEO to Dennis Schröder, who has been the company’s General Manager since April 2023. Schröder will immediately assume responsibility for the business of the internationally operating sneaker and streetwear retailer. Voth will remain with the company as founder and will dedicate himself primarily to expansion, wholesale, product trends and innovations, cooperations, and the US business in a two-year transition before moving into an advisory role on Jan. 1, 2026.

It was only in 2023 that Snipes appointed three additional Managing Directors – Schröder, Peter Buse (COO) and Daniel Bontjer (Chief Revenue Officer) – alongside Tim Spickenbom (CFO) and Voth.
Voth sold the majority stake in Snipes SE to the German Deichmann Group in 2011. Following the redemption of the last shares, Voth, who founded the company in Essen in 1998 and has developed it over the years into a billion-dollar group with over 750 stores in 12 countries, will move into an advisory role from 2026.
“Snipes is my life’s work and will always be a part of me,“ he said. “I realize that it is time to hand over the baton, and Dennis Schröder already enjoys the recognition of all colleagues in the company after a very short time. He brings with him experience from the retail business and brand side. He is already noticeably enriching the company with his expertise and ideas in a very short space of time.”
Jim Bojko will continue to manage the US business as President of Snipes USA.
