Fredrik Andreasson, chief executive of Team Sportia, the third-largest sports retail group in Sweden, is leaving the company, it was reported by Sportfack this Friday. Andreasson has spent more than three years at the helm of Team Sportia, a buying group with 127 stores. Team Sportia reinforced its market share in 2010 by buying Sportex, which turned it into the largest retailer for bicycles in Sweden. Team Sportia stores reportedly did well last year, despite the tough situation in the Swedish market after the entry of several hard-hitting players in the last two years. Lars Stenberg, the group's chairman, is taking over from Andreasson on a temporary basis. Neither Andreasson nor Stenberg could be reached for confirmation.
