From January 2019, 40 percent of Zoggs' swimwear will be made of its proprietary Ecolast fabric, primarily obtained from ocean debris. The Ecolast range is made from abandoned ghost fishing nets, carpet and industrial waste, which are rescued from the oceans and landfill through the “Healthy Seas – A Journey from Waste to Wear” initiative and the Econyl Reclaiming Program. Zoggs is donating 10 percent of its Ecolast swimwear profits to the “Healthy Seas - A Journey from Waste to Wear” initiative. By 2020, the company's aim is for 60 percent of its swimwear globally to be made with recycled materials. Meanwhile, all new goggle products produced from January 2019 will be sold in the new Trap Blister or Cardboard Window Box style packaging, which will reduce the plastic in Zoggs' goggle packaging by 57 percent. Also, 80 percent of all packaging will include disposal or recovery labels, the company said.
