DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating), a technology platform and the gold standard in pickleball ratings worldwide, announced the expansion of its partnership with Gamma Sports, a family-owned, US-based manufacturer of pickleball and tennis equipment, marking a new chapter in the future of pickleball in 2024. Gamma is set to become the official ball for DUPR with the launch of the new Chuck Tournament Pickleball to the market.
The new Chuck Tournament Pickleball made its debut at DUPR’s Collegiate Super Regional on Feb. 3-4 in Illinois. The ball has 38 holes instead of 40 “for a guaranteed true flight and is engineered to withstand temperatures at both ends of the outdoor spectrum,” Gamma explained. The Chuck Tournament Pickleball was released for sale to the public on the Gamma Sports website on Feb. 7.
DUPR and Gamma stated that they are committed to promoting the sport of pickleball and see the potential of this partnership in fostering engagement for all pickleball players in the US and globally. “We believe this collaboration will support growth and introduce pickleball to an even wider audience,” said Molly Boras, Executive Vice President of Gamma Sports. “Together, we look forward to strengthening our joint mission of growing the sport of pickleball at a rapid rate,” added Ben Van Hout, Director of Sponsorships at DUPR.
