Giant reported consolidated revenues of NT$53.5 billion (€1.4b--$1.8b) last year, up by 12.9 percent from 2011. Sales in Europe declined slightly while those in China increased. For 2013, the Taiwanese bike manufacturer expects these trends to continue. Europe, North America and Asia each account for approximately one-third of Giant's revenues. Over the next few years, the company will invest NT$1.5 billion (€38.3m--$50.5m) to build a new global headquarters and research and development center at the Central Taiwan Science Park, in Taichung City. The plant is expected to be ready by 2016, while the current office site will be transformed into a factory.
