Glenmuir's new fall/winter collection of golf wear features bionics nanotechnology that provides better water repellency. Bionic-Finish is used on four of Glenmuir's men's lambswool's sweaters and two women's models. The Kielder and Jupiter men's styles also have a windproof lining for additional protection. Much apparel waterproofing involves the application of a wax-based finish, but this has the negatives of fading in color, a loss of effectiveness and even cracking with repeated movement. The Bionic-Finish, on the other hand, uses nanotechnology to build an invisible molecular “shield” on cloth. It also works to repel oil and dirt.
