Global sports sponsorship is expected to grow by 4 percent this year and to hit £35 billion (€40.5bn-$45.5bn), according to recent research by Two Circles. The experts of the London-based sports marketing agency said that growth is being registered despite concerns in Europe about marketing restrictions on gambling firms, which are expected to negatively impact the sports sponsorship market. The report predicts that spend on sponsorship will rise by 6 percent on average on an annualized basis between 2020 and 2024, hitting £48 billion (€55.6bn-$62.4bn) overall by the end of the period.
