Go Sport, the French sports retailer, is opening two more stores in Poland, to form a network of 28 stores. Covering 1,255 square meters, the first store is located in the northern Polish town of Elbag, in the Ogrody shopping arcade. The second store of about 1,224 square meters is in the western city of Szczecin, in the Ster shopping arcade, where Go Sport predicts that it will attract German customers. André Segura, chief executive of Go Sport Group, said that the openings reflected the company's international expansion strategy. Among Go Sport's competitors in Poland are the much larger Decathlon chain as well as Intersport and two Polish players led by Martes Sport, which has expanded to more than 120 stores in about eight years.
