Goldwin, the Japanese ski and outdoor apparel company, reported a sales increase of 4.6 percent to ¥57.4 billion (€426.3m-$475.5m) for the fiscal year until the end of March. Goldwin, which distributes a mass of sports and outdoor brands in Japan, South Korea and other parts of Asia, reaped operating income of ¥2.41 billion (€17.9m-$20.0m), an increase of 8.8 percent. Its operating margin crept up by 0.2 percentage points to 4.2 percent, but net income expanded by 14.9 percent to ¥3.47 billion (€25.8m-$28.7m). Goldwin's guidance for the current fiscal year predicts a sales increase of 1.0 percent to ¥58.0 billion (€430.7m-$480.4m), along with a rise of 3.6 percent in operating income to ¥2.50 billion (€18.6m-$20.7m), while net income should end up at ¥3.56 billion (€26.4m-$29.5m), up 2.6 percent.
