GoPro reported a 43.0 percent sales increase to $400.3 million for the third quarter, falling short of analysts' estimates due to disappointing sales of cameras. Sales in Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA) jumped by 179 percent to $156.6 million, while the Asia-Pacific region booked a 178 percent increase to $52.9 million, which China enjoying the fastest growth in the first nine months of the year. Sales in the Americas were down by 7 percent to $190.8 million. Adjusted operating earnings before amortization (Ebitda) grew by 56.8 percent to $56.7 million. GAAP net income was up by 28.6 percent to $18,799,000. While developing new products and new applications, GoPro plans to step up advertising all over the world, including Europe, during the fourth quarter.
