Gore has developed a new technology for running shoes that is said to offer the benefits of protective footwear technology with the feeling of regular road running shoes. In the Gore Invisible Fit shoe, wrinkles and folds have been eliminated and pressure marks are reduced. Heel and ankle abrasion is said to be eliminated, thanks to custom drop liners in the heel which are supposed to eliminate stitching abrasion points along the ankle and down the heel. In addition, a reduced gusset height brings a more comfortable tongue construction, which is meant to avoid irritation on the instep. According to Gore, the shoe has a faster dry-out time of up to 50 percent, which can help runners feel comfortable in all weather conditions. Finally, the color style of the shoe can be customized at the heel drop liner. The Gore Invisible Fit shoe made by Saucony and Inov-8 will be available in autumn/winter 2017. The new technology will be unveiled by Gore at Ispo in Munich in February, 2017.
