Out of the 100 “greenest” products of the year picked for the Green Product Award, the 2022 edition features the Spanish fiber manufacturer Recover, the sneaker brand Wayz and the U.K.-based biodegradable flip flop brand Sea Sense. Other award winners are the German Rolltop Backpack brand, producing urban packs made from ocean plastic waste, and the U.K. company Circular Performance Projects with its 3D-printed sports glasses made from biodegradable bio-based polymer and its biodegradable lens. As the only retailer in the sports category, the German company Planetics GmbH received an award. The online marketplace is specializing in sustainable and fair sporting goods only. The annual Green Products Award was established in 2013 and is presented by the Ikea Foundation. 100 products in twelve categories are honored after being chosen by an international jury of experts.
