Over the weekend, the Russian-tied hacker group Akira carried out a cyber attack against the Finnish IT provider Tietoevry. This forced the provider to shut down Primula, Sweden’s largest HR system. In addition to managing 120 Swedish government agencies, the attack also affected the Swedish sports retail chain Stadium.
Stadium’s website has been offline since the weekend, and there is currently no timeline for when it will be operational again. “Our site is currently down due to an issue at one of our service partners,” Stadium states on its website. “In the meantime, our stores are open as usual, and you can contact us at any time. We apologize for the inconvenience and can’t wait to start moving again.”
Tietoevry acknowledged in a statement that resolving the issue could take weeks, as many customer-specific systems need to be restored.
