Head is the latest supplier of tennis gear to offer racquets that are compatible with Sony's Smart Tennis Sensor, in the Graphene XT Speed and Graphene XT Instinct ranges. To be attached to the butt-end of the racquet, the sensor allows players to garner stats on their own game, to help evaluate and improve it. Shot metrics are recorded and may be displayed on smartphones or tablets in real time through Bluetooth and a special app. Recorded videos of the same shots may be viewed simultaneously with shot metrics. Sony already teamed up with Yonex, Wilson and Prince to deliver racquets compatible with the sensor, while Babolat has launched its own intelligent racquet.
