Helen Ford, formerly at Pentland Brands and Li & Fung, has been appointed from the start of April as the Asia director of the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI), based in Hong Kong. Ford spent many years at the Pentland Group, as a supply chain director and a director of corporate responsibility. She also briefly worked at Li & Fung as a senior vice president in charge of vendor compliance and responsibility. The WFSGI decided to set up an office in Hong Kong in order to provide more immediate and specific services to members based or operating in Asia. The federation has been vastly expanding its services and activities in recent years.
