Helge Mankowski, a former professional football player, has been appointed by Intersport Germany to be managing director at Intersport Voswinkel from the start of this year, alongside Alla-Lena Schulte-Angels. The appointment comes after Matthias Bärtels passed away last year. Mankowski will be in charge of operations, buying, marketing and expansion. He joined Intersport Germany in 2000 and has been in charge of key accounts for the larger retail members since 2009. He was previously a regional manager in charge of services to retail members. Intersport Germany adds that, as managing director of the Sportpoint group for two years up to 2015, Mankowski also played an important part in the group's integration into the buying organization.
