Henner Schwarz, 34, has been appointed as the third joint managing director of Planet Sports, the fast-growing German online and brick-and-mortar action sports retailer, taking care of finance, IT and personnel. The company's founders, Sven Horstmann and Marcel Peters, continue to act as joint managing directors. A former manager of Adidas, Sebastian Knebelkamp, is acting as head of marketing. Taken over by Carlyle at the end of 2010, the German retailers is said to be budgeting sales of €100 million for this year. One-fifth of that comes from foreign countries such as France, Italy and Spain, but the company wants to become more international.
