Herbert Hainer, who recently accepted to extend his mandate as chief executive of the Adidas Group, has agreed to become now also the chairman of the supervisory board of FC Bayern München, the big football club in which Adidas is a minority shareholder. He was already a vice president of the club. He will take place of the outgoing chairman, Uli Hoeness, who resigned after being sentenced to two and a half years in jail on charges that he evaded taxes of €27.2 million. He has decided not to appeal.
