Hervis Sport, one of the leading Austrian retail chains for sporting goods, increased its sales by 7.3 percent last. The company, which is a subsidiary of Spar, reached total sales of €461 million after VAT. In 2010, it opened 10 new stores, four in Austria and six in other countries. Now operating 159 doors with a total surface of more than 168,000 square meters, the chain is active in Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia and Croatia. The company sees itself as the market leader in Slovenia and Hungary with 17 and 27 stores respectively.
