High-tech innovation, digitalization and robotics will be in focus at the Manufacturers Forum organized for the fourth time by the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI), to be held on November 15-16 in Taichung, Taiwan. The forum will discuss the fourth industrial revolution, the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies. Among the speakers is Jay Lee, professor at the University of Cincinnati, described as one of the pioneers in the field of intelligent maintenance systems. Edwin Keh, chief executive at the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel, has agreed to share insights into textile innovation, and advanced textiles and clothing production technologies. Christian Decker, managing director of Desma and member of Platform Industrie 4.0, a steering committee for the German government, will address precisely this topic in the footwear industry. Other highlights include a visit of the smart factory of Mobiletron, which specializes in automotive electronics, and a panel discussion about the Internet of Things with Mobiletron's chairman and other top level speakers.
