Bluestar Alliance, a New York-based brand management company that also owns the Hurley surf brand, has announced the acquisition of Amsterdam-based fashion brand Scotch & Soda. The acquisition by Bluestar Alliance will allow Scotch & Soda and its products to continue in key markets, including the Netherlands, approximately one week after the company had filed for bankruptcy in the Netherlands.
“Bluestar continues to strategically build its portfolio, and we see Scotch & Soda as a unique fit, widely known for its roots in Amsterdam and celebrating self-expression with a modern twist on timeless fashion pieces,” Joseph Gabbay, CEO of Bluestar Alliance, said of the acquisition. Further details will be announced after the transaction closes, which is expected to take place in the coming weeks, the company said.
