Hydrow, the at-home connected rower, has announced that it has raised around $55 million in Series D funding, led by Constitution Capital with continued support from L Catterton and RX3 Ventures and additional participation from Liberty Street, Activant Capital and Sandbridge Capital. L Catterton, the largest global consumer-focused private equity firm, recently invested $355 million in iFIT Health & Fitness, as reported by SGI Europe. The new funding is meant to support Hydrow’s investment in product innovation and facilitate global expansion. Hydrow’s revenues grew by more than three times from 2020 to 2021. The brand also bolstered its athlete roster this winter with the addition of Aisyah Rafaee, Singapore’s first Olympic rower. Hydrow currently offers nearly 4,000 live and on-demand workouts led by athletes, including Olympians and Paralympians. Hydrow’s technology brings the on-water, outdoor experience of rowing to the home. Developed by rowing experts, Hydrow recreates the feeling of rowing on the water via an algorithm-based, patented electromagnetic and computer-controlled drag mechanism.
