Icon Health & Fitness’ consolidation of some of its production in Utah will result in about 250 people losing their jobs in mid-March, when the company will close its factory in Clearfield and fold them into its facility in Logan. Icon is eliminating a total of 450 positions at its Clearfield factory and then adding 200 to the Logan operation, where former employees of the Clearfield factory will be given priority. The company said that it is consolidating manufacturing at these places to improve efficiency in production. Icon’s warehouse and distribution centers in Clearfield and North Ogden, Utah will remain unaffected.
