Icon Health & Fitness has filed a patent infringement lawsuit in Texas against Horizon Fitness and its parent company, Johnson Health Tech of Taiwan, Vision Fitness and Matrix Fitness Systems for allegedly infringing on three of its patents. The patents concerned are for its Exercise Machine Control System (patent # 5,104,120 issued in April 1992), its User Programmable Exercise Machine (patent # 5,062,632 issued in November 1991, and its User-Programmable Computerized Console for Exercise Machines (patent # 5,512,025 issued in April 2006).
