Iconix Brand Group, the owner of Umbro, has signed a new master license agreement for Italy with NewAge, which has led to the creation of the Umbro Italy business unit. The launch of Umbro Italy's first collection is scheduled for autumn/winter 2018/19. NewAge is a manufacturer specializing in underwear, beachwear and homewear. It is based in Corato, in the southern Italian region of Apulia. The company was founded in 1997 by Pino Magno and Maria Grazia Fortunato, who are married. NewAge is already a licensee of brands such as Diadora, Paul Martin and Laura Biagiotti, among others. In 2017, its revenues reached €16 million, with an output of 6 million items produced.
