In a press release regarding its campaign around yesterday's Boston Marathon, which Adidas is now sponsoring, New Balance said that the group's global sales increased last year by 12.7 percent to $3.72 billion, including the estimated sales of joint venture partners and distributors. Also included are the revenues of other brands owned by the group such as Warrior, PF-Flyers, Dunham, Cobb Hill, Brine and Aravon. The company continues to assemble four million pairs of shoes at five factories in the U.S., which employ 1,400 workers, and to operate a factory in the U.K. It has a total staff of more than 5,000 people.
