Instant Commerce, a Dutch e-commerce software startup, has raised €2 million in seed capital with the participation of the founders of Storyblok, Wandera, Snyk and Supercell. With the investment, the young company wants to build the product, expand the team, and create brand awareness throughout Europe. Instant Commerce was founded in January of this year by CEO Sam van Hees, Doeke Leeuwis and Coen van Hees, building on the e-commerce agency Story of AMS, founded in 2016.

The software startup offers an intuitive headless webshop builder. Headless commerce means the frontend and backend are separate, offering users more design options. With Instant Commerce’s frontend as a service platform, no-code-oriented with features that support adding custom code for more customization, the company wants to empower the e-commerce teams to stay in control of their shopping experience. “And on the other hand, we want to make building and to maintain the frontend as easy as possible for agencies and our in-house teams,” the company says. “We want to help brands experience the actual benefits of headless commerce and, as a result, help them sell more and grow faster.”

Instant Commerce integrates with a number of popular platforms, including Shopify, Storyblok and Algolia, and the startup counts over 30 customers, including Bols, ID&T, Ekster and Yaya
