Intersport Germany appointed Thomas Storck to the position of chief financial officer on April 1. Storck immediately succeeds Hannes Rumer, who had asked for early termination of his contract as of March 31. Before joining Intersport Germany, Storck worked as business analyst for sales and purchasing at Real, a subsidiary of the Metro Group, as chief financial officer and chief solution officer at Cash & Carry Germany, the wholesale trade subsidiary of the Metro Group, and as chief innovation officer at Metro. At Galeria Kaufhof, another subsidiary of the Metro Group, Storck has worked as member of the executive board, responsible for finances, logistics, IT, purchasing, sustainability and multi-channel. Last but not least, he worked as chief executive officer for Metro Germany. At Intersport Germany, Storck will be responsible for finances, IT, supply chain and participation management.
