Intersport PSC Holding, the Swiss licensee for the Intersport banner, is proposing to merge with its parent company, Zelfi Sports Holding, which owns more than 91 percent of its shares. Nothing would change for the employees and the customers. The proposal is set to be endorsed by an extraordinary meeting of both companies on July 16, resulting in a squeeze-out of the shares held by minority shareholders. Formed in 2002, Zelfi is a Swiss holding company controlled by the family of a British investor, Nicholas Berry.
