The Intersport South East Europe subsidiary, based in Greece, has opened its new logistics center, run by Trade Logistics S.A. (both companies belonging to the Fourlis group). The new 25,000-square-meter facility in Oinofyta/Boeotia is a fully automated distribution and storage center delivering to Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Cyprus. The new logistics center serves 123 Intersport brick-and-mortar stores and five e-commerce shops in those countries. The facilities enable the product distribution online – with a 24-hour delivery for e-shop orders and click & collect at the main urban centers for home delivery – as well as offline with speedy dispatch and product fulfillment, which increased by 40 percent compared to the previous Intersport central logistics unit.
Intersport South East Europe hopes for a push of the company’s e-commerce business by minimizing the preparation time for the product dispatching. The company’s customer service system starts with the new central logistics unit. Three interfaces complement it: the new Intersport e-shop, launched in April and the first in the world to embody the global standards of the Intersport international e-shop, the new generation Intersport store concept 2.0 and the omnichannel customer services.
