Intersport Sverige has acquired a controlling stake of 80 percent in Löplabbet, the big Swedish chain of running stores, with 13 doors in the country. Tom Kellheim, who has been with Löplabbet for 20 years, will keep the rest of the shares and will continue as its general manager. Reporting to Ulf Kinneson, general manager of Intersport Sweden, he will oversee the integration of the two companies. Intersport has 152 stores in Sweden. Of those, 18 in the Stockholm area and one in Malmö are directly owned by Intersport Sverige. Another 11 in Gothenburg area and seven in the Malmö area are joint ventures with local retailers.
