Intersport U.K. is preparing to launch a new online store to support the physical stores affiliated with the buying group across the country. The new Intersport.co.uk website is chiefly meant to raise brand awareness and to showcase sports performance products. The search function will allow visitors to check out the products of key brands in focus categories from running to training, fitness, swimming and football, with an emphasis on products that are exclusive to Intersport. The online store will function with a click-and-collect function, meaning that it will allow the affiliated retailers to draw customers into their store with the wider range available online. The new Intersport.co.uk will also feature product reviews, advice on sports performance, competitions and links to partners such as Parkrun. Sportswise, the Intersport group member that operates rugbystore.co.uk, is hosting the new website. The Scottish company, which will hold and distribute products for Intersport around the U.K., has expanded its head office and warehousing capacity to deal with Intersport U.K.'s online business.
