Invista is taking back a license that it had granted to Advansa for its polyester-based Coolmax and Thermolite brands of fibers, which covered Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), allowing it to market these brands globally. In addition, Invista, which continues to own other brands such as Lycra and Cordura as well, will also acquire Advansa's Thermocool brand, along with the related technologies and key staff, and its other assets in the area of specialty polyester products for apparel. However, Advansa will keep the rights to other products and will remain a manufacturer of no-name products for third parties, with its own manufacturing facilities in Germany.
