The ISPO Group announced that ISPO Beijing, which was scheduled to take place from Dec. 28 to 30, 2021, at Beijing’s China National Convention Center, has had to be postponed at short notice in light of the still complex and serious pandemic situation at the national level and to implement an overall strategy of “preventing imported cases” of Covid-19 and the resurgence of an indigenous outbreak. The decision is in line with the government’s attitude of zero tolerance for local outbreaks of the epidemic, which started in China. No new date has been given for the fair at this time. Timed to precede the 2022 Winter Olympics, which are still due to start in Beijing on Feb. 4, the fair was going to showcase around 550 sports brands. ISPO Shanghai is still planned for July 15-17
