Jack O'Neill is publishing a biography that recounts his history as the inventor of the surf wetsuit and the founder of the surf brand bearing his name. He is also credited for opening the first surf shop in his garage in 1952, offering wetsuits, surfboards and many other products. Some of the proceeds from the sale of the book, called “Jack O'Neill: It's Always Summer on the Inside” and published in the U.S. by Chronicle Books, will go to his nonprofit environmental education program, O'Neill Sea Odyssey.
