James Lillie has become chief executive of Jarden Corporation, the owner of many brands including Coleman, Marmot and K2, as part of the company's plans to split the functions of chairman and CEO. Martin Franklin, who previously held both jobs, will remain as executive chairman, supervising the company's strategy. This move was announced in January. With Jarden since 2003, Lillie has been its president and chief operating officer since 2004. He previously worked for several companies such as World Color and Walter Industries. Lillie, Franklin and Ian Askhen, Jarden's vice chairman and chief financial officer, will form what has become known at Jarden as the office of the chairman. Lillie will also join Jarden's board of directors.
