Jarden Corporation's stable of sports brands continues to widen. Its K2 Sports subsidiary has signed an agreement for the takeover of an American brand of triathlon clothing, Squadra, and its business at an undisclosed price. Squadra started in 1996 as the U.S. licensee of Castelli, the Italian brand of bikewear. Its products are distributed in the U.S. and 20 other countries. They should neatly complement those of Zoot Sports, the triathlon footwear and apparel brand owned by K2.
